La Rosa Chicken & Grill

La Rosa was founded on July 5, 1994 by Vincenzo Pugliese in Marlboro, New Jersey.

Being an avid health and fitness enthusiast, Vincenzo’s dream was to start a restaurant that would not only offer a casual and friendly atmosphere, but also serve old-world recipes made with only the freshest of ingredients.

Word quickly spread, and people couldn’t get enough of La Rosa’s signature rotisserie chicken and homemade side dishes. Vincenzo’s idea slowly and steadily grew from one to six successful locations across New Jersey.

To maintain the quality of the food and consistency of taste, La Rosa established a central commissary in its Tinton Falls location to keep store-level food preparations at a minimum and to help to maintain food costs.

Prospective buyers clamored to own their own La Rosa Chicken & Grill, but it wasn’t until 2016 that Vincenzo sold his first franchise in Staten Island after he created a system – a blueprint, if you will – that seamlessly helps franchisees successfully run their own La Rosa Chicken & Grill.

La Rosa is now a multi-franchise food chain with 13 restaurants operating across New Jersey, New York & Florida.

Vincenzo Pugliese

CEO / Founder

Vincenzo Pugliese, Founder & CEO of La Rosa Chicken & Grill, was born in Brooklyn, New York into an Italian family of self-made entrepreneurs.

Instilled with the family values of honesty and hard work, Vincenzo’s restaurant background and his personal commitment to health and fitness, he used his savings to start a brand that offered food using only the freshest and healthiest ingredients.

La Rosa Chicken & Grill opened its doors July 5th, 1994 in Marlboro, New Jersey. Today the successful food chain has 13 restaurants across New Jersey, New York & Florida.

Vincenzo Pugliese firmly believes in paying his success forward, and in the near future hopes to start a foundation to help underprivileged and disabled children he has closely interacted with on his spiritual journey across India. 

Kuldeep Makhni

Executive Chef

A royally-anointed celebrity chef who has cooked in the White House and owned several restaurants across the United Kingdom, Kuldeep brings his well-honed culinary skills, entrepreneurial experience and spiritual guidance to La Rosa, leading it on its path to success. Fondly known as “Mak,” Kuldeep monitors and mentors every department at La Rosa.

Vikram Acharya

Brand Manager

Vikram combines his experience in the food and beverage industry with more than 15 years of experience in the advertising/media industry to successfully brand and enhance the La Rosa image. His responsibilities include consumer & franchise facing advertising, in-store branding, digital marketing design and strategy.

Jessica Barone

Administrative Manager

An ex account rep from the Wine Industry, Jessica uses her organizational skills to make sure everything is synchronised at the La Rosa HeadQuarters. Handling accounts, payroll, vendor & client communication. Jessica is the chief support for La Rosa Headquarters.

Lazzaro Merone

Quality Assurance Manager

Food became a way of life for this former sea man from Monte di Procida, a province of Naples, Italy. After coming to America, Lazzaro landed his first job at La Rosa, working his way up the ladder to become executive commissary chef. He has enhanced the taste of the food at La Rosa and has been an integral support to build, maintain and operate the commissary. He now monitors food preparation & assembly processes across La Rosa.

Chris Hijazin

District Manager

A graduate of Johnson and Wales University, Chris utilizes more than 13 years of experience in fast-casual restaurants, hotels and contract food service to achieve the highest level of customer satisfaction – all while growing the La Rosa brand into a national franchise and coaching his teams to success.    

Leobardo Teles

District Supervisor

Leo started working as a grill Cook with La Rosa Chicken & Grill in 1999. He had the opportunity to work alongside Enzo and this helped him inculcate the same work ethics & attention to detail that Enzo radiates.
Leo ensures that all La Rosa stores are following operation & cooking procedures and trains new employees to ensure quality of food & great customer service.
